Changing your temporary password
To change the password to your temporary account, please follow these steps:
If you were unable to come into campus to pick up your Mac laptop, a temporary login account was created for you. Once the Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ campus returns to normal operations, the temporary account will be deleted and the Mac will need to be set up under your proper Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ credentials. 1. Open "System Preferences" from the Dock, Apple Menu or Launchpad:
2. In System Preferences, click on the "Users & Groups" icon:
3. Your temporary account will be highlighted. Click on the "Change Password..." button to continue:
3b. You also have the choice of changing the account's picture if so desired. Click on the "edit" link that appears when you hover the account picture to change it:
4. Type in the current temporary password and enter a new, secure password. Enter it again for verification and click the blue "Change Password" button:
