Teacher Education
The History and Social Studies Teacher Preparation Program at Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµ is overseen jointly by:
- The History Department, which oversees the major coursework and provides advising.
- The College of Liberal Art’s Secondary Teacher Education Program, which helps students prepare and complete the process of becoming certified teachers in the state of Texas.
- The , which sets, policy, authorizes candidates to take the state certification exams, and serves as the official certification-granting body.
The College of Education administers social studies training programs for EC-4, grades 4-8, and alternative certification.
