Take Back the Tap |
Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ students and Green Team members propose funding the purchase and installation of 13 additional bottle filling stations on the Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ campus (12 indoor and 1 outdoor). This project supports all members of the Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ community who enjoy easily filling up their reusable sustainable water bottles. Eliminating the disposable culture has been called the greatest most important obstacle to sustainability and we believe that Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ can play a crucial role in adapting to this 21st century challenge. Paperless Marching Band |
Dr. Andrew Hunter proposed moving the band to a "paperless" model. The marching band and Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ uses incredibly high volume of paper and toner each season. With four shows each season, and an average of twenty-five sets per show, paper usage for drill alone can reach 20,000-30,000 sheets. Additionally, sheet music for the forty-plus songs in the band's music folder brings the total expected usage closer to 40,000 sheets, or 80 reams - not including waste from re-prints, changes to a show and potential litter on campus.
