Submit a billing form

Submit the Appointment Action request eForm once the department has received the pre-hire automation notice from Human Resources Office.

Once the appointment has been processed and finalized Employment Information Services will assign an employee #600 for the student.

If the student is a rehire: After receiving the proceed with rehire email from Human Resources, the Hiring Department will then initiate the appointment action request with the 600# provided.

After completion, the initiator of the eForm will be notified by email that the student now has an active job record in the system.

Monitor the student hire's onboarding module status emails for completion.

Submit a to Human Resources to initiate the Criminal Background Check for the staff member to complete.

The hiring department will be notified by email automation that the staff hire appointment action request has been submitted.

Once the appointment eForm has been submitted by HR, notification email will be sent to the hiring manager to approve the eForm and then route to other approvers.

Upon activation of the job record, Human Resources assigns the onboarding Module for staff to complete within 48 hours of assignment.

Submit the signed Offer Letter to hronboarding@utep.edu for full-time faculty only. Part-time faculty (32 hours or less) do not require an offer letter to be sent to HR.

The hiring department sends a Background Check and Information Form.

Human Resources will provide the New Employee Hire Packet via email to the employee.

Once Human Resources clears the new hire documents and the background check, the completed documents will be given to the Employment Information Services team.

Upon notification to go ahead with the hire's appointment action request, the hiring department should submit an appointment request eForm that will generate Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµ credentials that will allow access to the incoming faculty and their employee ID number (600#).

The initiator of the eForm will be notified by an automated email that the faculty now has an active job record in the system.

The hiring department will notify the faculty member to contact the IT helpdesk to obtain their Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµ credentials at helpdesk@utep.edu or (915) 747-4357. Please note: The earliest Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµ credentials for future hires can be granted is 90 days (about 3 months) from the start date.

The hiring department will need to assign the faculty hire as Instructor of Record in Banner to obtain Blackboard access and other resources used by faculty.
