Who can attend?

High school students entering their sophomore, junior and senior year in Fall 2026 interested in STEM careers.

Why attend?

Learn how mining engineering supports infrastructure, technology, energy production and modern life, while building problem solving, teamwork and critical thinking skills needed for your future career.

What will you do?

  • Step inside a real foundry and gain experience in extractive metallurgy
  • Explore mineral processing, applied chemistry and materials science
  • Visit a working industry site to observe professional mining engineers in the field
  • Dive into mining, geology and metallurgical lab demonstrations
  • Join a campus-wide scavenger hunt to explore and learn from key geology experts
  • Stay in Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ's residence halls and experience college campus life

Limited Scholarships Available

Because of generous support, 75 scholarships are available for Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ’s Mining Engineering Summer Camps. Scholarships are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Participants selected for a scholarship will be refunded after attending the camp in June.
