Sylvia L Natividad-Diaz, PHD
Dr. Sylvia Natividad-Diaz is an Assistant Professor in the Biomedical Engineering program within the Metallurgical, Materials, and Biomedical Engineering Department at Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµ. Dr. Natividad-Diaz received her Ph.D. in Bioengineering from the University of California, Berkeley with a specialization in stem cell tissue engineering and regeneration. Dr. Natividad-Diaz’s expertise is in the areas of stem cell tissue engineering and development of biomimetic 3D in vitro human tissue models. At Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµ her lab focuses on developing 3D microphysiological systems (MPS) with human induced pluripotent stem cell derived cardiovascular/neural tissue models, primary cancer tissue, biomaterials, and microfluidic platforms for patient-specific drug discovery, toxicity screening, and fundamental research applications.
